We are pleased to share that we will be hosting a session as part of the EU Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) 2021 Extended Programme.
Leading up to this year’s EUSEW, which takes place online from 25 to 29 October, a series of panels, workshops, and talks are planned between 11 to 22 October, where attendees will have the chance to tackle key questions surrounding the future of Europe’s sustainable energy. Join us on 14 October, 2021 at 15:00 CET for session organized by Habitat for Humanity International on HOW TO MAKE THE RENOVATION WAVE A SUCCESS IN CENTRAL AND EASTERN EUROPE IN ADDRESSING ENERGY POVERTY?
Session aims to introduce specific challenges of the CEE region by providing EU policy background for building renovation.

Dragomir Tzanev, Executive Director at the Center for Energy Efficiency EnEffect – Bulgaria
Knut Höller, Executive Member of the Board at IWO – Housing Initiative for Eastern Europe
Speakers will present best practices from the region that successfully tackle energy poverty and lead renovation of residential buildings. Best practices will be connected to scaling up the financing for residential energy efficiency and provision of technical assistance to homeowner associations. Discussion will follow on the challenges and bottlenecks that were successfully overcome in the projects and on the learnings for future.
